About

The Wate Mill Community Club was founded in 1952 equating to 59 years of service to our community.  The goals of the WMCC are as follows:

  1. To foster community spirit
  2. To work for the constant betterment of our community
  3. To assist the needy of our community
  4. To give the youngsters and teenagers of our community with appropriate diversions by providing properly supervised amusement and social evenings as well as competitive sporting events.
  5. To make this a real, true community club by obtaing 100% participation of the individuals of our community.

    In order to achieve these goals, the WMCC has sponsored a series of events which can be found under Calendar of Events.  These events include everything from visits to Pumpkintown to dinners and scavenger hunts.  Also, the WMCC sponsors a cooperative playgroup for pre-school age children.  For more information on this playgroup, see committees.

    The Water Mill Community Club offers college scholarships to qualified high school graduates who have a record of community service.  The WMCC 2006 scholarship recipients include Nicole Barylski Eric Sachtleben, Brandon Arnister, and Kristin Kraszewski.  The next Award Ceremony will take place next June along with a Hamburger BBQ at the Burnett Building.  To be eligible, students must be children of members in good standing of the WMCC for no less than 36 consecutive months preceding the award of the scholarship.  For more information on WMCC Scholarships, see Scholarships.

    Over the years, the Water Mill Community Club has gained a series of buildings and properties, including the Community House on Montauk Highway, The Tennis House, and The Burnett Field House.  For information on rentals, scheduled use or maintenance and repair concerns, click here.
